Coach Makayla, a proud San Diego native, grew up in the East County and played for teams like the SD Renegades, Power Surge, and Batbusters. She earned a scholarship to the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where she played Division 1 softball as a catcher. Later, she transferred to Baker University in Kansas, continuing her role as a starting catcher while batting in the 3-4 position. With a successful career that includes league titles and-tying hitting performance records, Coach Makayla is passionate about sharing her knowledge with younger players to enhance their skills and softball IQ while having fun. She specializes in catching and hitting lessons but is also well-versed in all positions on the field, except pitching.
